2.7 smells of anti freeze/coolant while running
Hi, im new to all of this as i just bought my 2000 audi s4 bi turbo sedan. After driving it for the first day i noticed a somewhat strong smell of antifreeze as though its being burnt. My brother bought the car for me while i was away seeing as it looked like a good deal and he didnt really notice anything. So far i have watched the coolant levels pretty closely and havent really seen them move any. I have checked the oil numerous times and it isnt milky or showing any signs of coolant in it. I may have just gotten used to it but the smell seemed to go away after about 100 or so miles of driving it. Now i had to put the car away for a few weeks while im away from home again and plan to check everything when i get home. But i was wondering if this is common for the b5 s4's or if it could still be burning inside the motor which would probably be a head gasket in my experience. Im no master mechanic but i know my way around a motor, just new to the audi scene. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Check the drain located on the firewall in the engine compartment for wetness. If you smell coolant in the engine compartment, check all coolant system hoses.
