Default 2000 s4 instrument cluster interchange question

will the instrument cluster from a six speed 2000 s4 work in a 2000 s4 tip, if it will how do i make it show the tip information in stead of it saying press clutch pedal to start, I just ordered a vag-com from ross tech and have been reading for days and still don't know how or if this can be done, I have two 2000 S4 cars one is a nogi blue 6 speed with 34,000 miles and the one i'm working on is a 2000 silver tip S4 with 30,000 i bought as a theft recovery it came with no instrument cluster because the insurance company as part of their procedures took it and i have been trying to get a replacement I just got 8D0 920 980 DX THAT I WAS TOLD CAME OUT OF A TIP CAR WITH 71,000 but i put it in and it says what my other six speed s4 says press clutch pedal, any help would be appreciated. i also am having a problem not geting power to the fuel pump, i changed the computer with another b box but nothing,is there a reset procedure for the fuel or computer after a wreck or battery change?
