2001.5 audi s4 (salvage title)?
Im about to get a used s4 b5 with a salvage title checked out at my local audi/vw shop. Before I lay down the money i just wanted to chime in on the forums and see if the price im paying seems reasonable for the car. If there are no issues when i get it checked out tomorrow (as the seller claims), is $3700 a steal for an s4? It is a salvage title which brings some risk, but i figure getting a knowledgeable technician to take a gander should negate most of the risk. It has 130,000 miles which is fairly high, so im hoping some of the large ticket repairs should have been done already if im lucky. Any thoughts? Ye/Ne? Thanks!

Depends on why it was salvaged?
These cars are old enough that a decent fender bender can cause the insurance companies to total what would have been fixed 10 years ago but isn't worth it now.
For reference I just sold a 2000 Imola s4 for $7500 with 105,000 miles - 1 owner, completely stock.

Make sure the heater core is still good on it. Flush it if you need to, just to see how much debris comes out......dealer cost is around $2,000 to replace one.
