I have a 2001 S4 with a APR ecu aftermarket exhaust,Forge diverter vavles.
The problem I'm having is that ocassionally my triptronic would go into limp mode and I would have pull over turn it off and then turn right back on and it would be fine.
So the car seem to be running great one day then the following day it wouldn't go into 4th or 5th gear and if you did put it in either of those gears it will pretty much free rev.
And like I said the day before all gears worked fine no slippage that would warn me of clutch packs being worn out or anything.
Also my heater core was leaking water onto the passenger floor which I hear is where the tcu is located and if it gets wet it can malfunction.
And the torque converter was replaced about 6 months before I bought it
Could it be syloniod?

VCDS codes? You might get lucky and it's just the tcu.

Thanks, I'll try to find a vags all I have is a obd2 and it doesn't read all the audi's codes
