no it DOES, it's a critical piece of information...
that even IF the car had been modded, the manufacturer is obligated to PROVE the modification caused the failure. They don't have the right to renig on a contract based on an assumption. Its the fact they aren't lawyers that seem to get them into trouble...they make all sorts of statements and policies which are ILLEGAL and yet the second you get their legal department involved, they put their tail between their legs and settle immediately because a lawyer looks at what they're doing and says "oh crap! we better settle this quickly!".

This one is my 2nd, and probably last Audi, unfortunately.
Too much crap like this happening, and I've been without my baby for two and a half months so far...
I'd dump it as soon as I got it back but I can't afford to eat another $8k in depreciated value in less than a year, plus I'm not sure what I'd replace it with. I do love the car. I just wish Audi had their act in gear. 2.5 months waiting for parts is inexcusable. 2.5 months of me driving a Corolla is inexcusable.
I'm just thankful that nothing like this has happened. This is why I'm stock and staying stock until I want to replace everything thats prone to failure on the car.

Huh? No, and I traded it in, it wasn't a buy back, and the new one is stock.
The turbos were going on the traded in one, but thats clearly because the dealer chose to put 15w50 oil in at its 8k service *in November*. Temperature was in the 40's, and the turbos didn't make it five miles after I picked it up.

I bought my TT from Jim Ellis and the salesman said...>>>
these exact words when I asked him about a chip voiding the warranty "No it won't void your warranty - we're chip friendly" Supposedly one of their guys in service used to race.
Heck, the salesman used putting an aftermarket chip in the car as a selling point during my test drive.
