Damn! Can they make it any harder? And why this is NOT in Audi's 'scheduled' services at all??
Thanks for the write-up. I would really expect the dealer to do it when 'necessary' but perhaps Audi 'forgot' to put it on the scheduled maintenance to save some money uh?

I don't think Audi changes it as part of the routine maintenance...
...I believe they consider it a "lifetime" part, thus they probably don't recommend replacement until something like 100,000 miles.
But heck, I could be wrong...why not ask your local Audi dealer?

I just did this myself like most things on my car, and honestly i think I would rather pay 70 for someone to do this.
Without a lift (and even with) it's an akward job, and my gas tank did not want to budge back into it's home. Gah! Car idles smoother but no significant gains in performance. My car had nearly 90k on I could barely blow air through the old filter!
