Aero Wipers... aesthetics, or actually better performing wipers for rain/snow?

Definitely better in the rain, marginally better in wet snow, not so good in bitter dry cold.

I've tried everything from standard wipers to cheap walmart aero blades to bosch icons and finally ending up with the real deal. Everything but the real aero arms left streaks on my glass somewhere; even the bosch icons. The aero blades are hands down the best setup for rain. They are noiseless, streakless, and don't chatter on 80 mph. But when the temps dip below freezing, they really start to chatter. I found that snow didn't stick to them as much as other blades. Even after driving through 8 hours of freezing fog in which in which every windward facing surface on the car had an inch of ice, they wipers still worked somehow. I had to pull over a few times to let the oil temps drop below 250 since the grill was totally iced over, but I never had to slap the wipers to get the ice off. I think they are definitely worth it.
I never took a picture of the wiper blades, but they were totally encased in ice.

Aeros better in rain, better when iced up. Similar to Bosch Icon (and other clones), but are
low profile. The Icons and other retrofits stick up about an 1" off the glass. Ugly.

My Valeo Aeros definitely work better than stock
Got 'em from TireRack.com. Buy one get one free deal.
I think the Aeros look fine. For pure aesthetics, I'd suggest those chrome-look blades!

2nd, they are a pieces of ****!!!
I was looking forward to using them and justified paying the extra for a bosch product, but they started smearing after less than a week of use and don't even clear my entire windshield. F**k em!!
