Am I correct in presuming that to replace my clunking strut mounts, I must remove the suspension?

Default ****E! I love the jobs that require a day of labor for $20-30 in parts.

Kind of like the CV boot (at least 2.5 hours for me).

heh, well just make sure there's nothing else that needs replaced while you're in there.

Default honestly, this is an excuse to put in new suspension

are you sure your shocks themselves aren't blown?

Default Still in diagnosis phase. Funny you mention the new suspension thing

I've been cruising the net looking at coilovers.

I'm going to check the shock mounts tonight to make sure they haven't come loose.

With 93k on the car, I just presume something is worn and needs replacing.

Default Might even cost less than that...

top nut on the piston is loose, or the load bearing washer was installed in the wrong order...either or might cost you $0 in parts to fix...just the labor.

Default pick up a set of the GT Vogtlands from Startup, or a regular set from PureMS

and replace the upper strut mounts while you're in there. it will be like an entirely new car!

Default Wait until you get your coilovers (which you're buying by the way) to install the strut mounts.

Eibach Pro Street S Coilover or Vogtland Coilovers are what I can recommend from experience.

People seem to really like the Vogtlands. I'm currently perusing PureMS.
