lurker back then, some time lurker now...... 00 (37k) still in the garage, though not driven much at all. still puts a smile on my face, even compared to the daily drivers that replaced it (09 M3, and current big fat whale pany turbo).... will never get rid of her no matter how much the wife prods me to.

Another poster/lurker from those days, altho at that time I had a '92 UrS4, a '99 B5 A4, and an '01 TT 225. I didn't get a B5 S4 until '05 when the lease ended on my TT. Still have it though, with about 132,000 miles on it. Drive it weekly, but not daily. Mine is a stock Imola Avant, and is in great condition. Only mod is Recaro seats. Might have to sell sometime in the next few years, but I have no clue what I'd replace it with. Nothing appeals very much. Plus, it's getting harder and harder to get Audi's that I want with manual transmissions. Never had a slushbox (actually my wife had one out of the 28 cars we've owned). Wish the new S3 was coming with a stick! Got my eye on that one (same size as B5).
My previous/current Audi list = over 800,000 miles driving Audis!
* 1980 beige Audi 5000 diesel! (sold @ ~ 175,000 miles)
* 1979? orange Audi 100LS front-wheel drive (only 125,000 miles when sold)
* 1992 tornado Audi Ur-S4 (my favorite Audi ever), sold @ 143k miles, current owner has 225k on it)
* 1999 brilliant yellow A4 1.8tqm, sold @ only 32k miles to trade up to S4 Avant
* 2001 denim blue TT 225 (lease = 45k miles)
* 2001 santorin blue B5 S4 avant (bought used)traded in on another TT @88k mi
* 2001 imola yellow B5 S4 avant (current car @ 132k mi)
* 2005 papaya TT 225 (now daughter's car w. 103k mi)

I've had my 2001 Avant since 2005. 2nd owner. Bought it as a CPO in 2005. It's still my daily driver with 138K miles on it. The Casablanca White still looks great under the parking lot lights when going anywhere.
CEL seems to be on more and more these days. Sucks more gas, but has the same performance as when I got it. I just replaced a bad O2 sensor. The CEL was off for a week. Back on now. I know that one of the fault codes is a EGT sensor. I wonder if that's what's causing the CEL now.
The only way I'm getting a different car is if I can find another wagon that hauls ***, has AWD, and has a stick. This last winter I finally put some Blizzaks on. Wow. And now I bought another set of wheels with summer rubber - never handled so well as it does now. I can't imagine what it will be like when I get around to replacing the control arms - they are getting noisy when cold.

I have been missing my old laser red S4 for ages soooo... I bought a beautiful santorin blue one almost two weeks ago.
I can't find any Pacific Northwest Audi meets though. I used to attend in New England when I had my last S4.

Frank!!! "You" represent back in the day!! I've run in club drives with you and if I'm not mistaking, I may have done a Decker run with you. At the very least, a club drive or two... back when Jason use to organize them. Those were some damn good times! Now I'm stoked with my A3 daily driver and my 2013 S6 that is so sick! Are you still in So Calif? (hope I'm not mistaking you for another Frank!)

Have the B5, stage 3 right now. Don't drive it as much anymore as I am trying to preserve it forever. I love the car and definitely think going Stage 3 should be something you all should do to it. Makes it seem like you got a brand new super car.

Still have mine.....will never get rid of it, 180k and climbing. It's been retired from daily driving (thankfully for the car, not so much for me). My '05 Civic is a uninspiring death trap in comparison.
