Because they'd use the 01E and it would get stuck in first gear. *grumble*

Default Money and no return on investment for them I'd guess. They can test
and prove all their futures in the LeMans Prototype classes these days. Why waste all that time and resource in F1.

Default I think the conventional wisdom in Ingolstadt is that...
Le Mans et al is a great showcase for their technological capabilities, and much more relevant to road cars than F1.
