Default Anyone know this fault code: P1606

I went for an annual inspection and thanks to New York's new wonderfully invasive laws, you must allow your OBD to be plugged into a state machine that will fail you is yor car is 100% safe but gives ANY fault code. That means you could have not closed your gas cap tight enough and you fail the state inspection and now can be ticketed when you leave and get stopped by a bored trooper who does nothing but write paper on everything he can. THANKS NY!!! The place doing the inspection did a diagnostic and plugged in with their scanner before actually plugging my car into the state machine and got a code of P1606. Oddly, I have no warning lights on the dash what-so-ever. Does anyone know what this code us for???

you will fail even if you don't have a readiness code? Anyway, there is a list of VAG codes somewhere, try googling for VAG code list or similar.

Yeah, gotta love invasive NY. I called around and it looks like its an ABS code that never cleared when I recently had my module rebuilt.
