arp or autospeed????
so i was about to chip my s4 today and the guy at arp told me to leave eather my car or my ecu for 3 days and that the chip provides me 320 hp with 93oct and then i called auto speed and they said they'll do it in 10 mins. and that the chip gives me 353 hp wich chip is better for my car you think???? and wich one can my turbos last longer on??

I think that all top notch ECU flashes spin turbos up to 17psi (is over twice as much as factory default) so regardless which one you go with, the life of your turbos will be equally shortened.

Woah now, the jury is still out on that one. I tend to agree that the working the turbos harder will make earlier failure more likely, but no one has offered definitive proof that chipping reduces turbo life expectancy as a rule.

All the chip tunes are great bang for the buck.

Hum, pushing a turbo 200%.. Humm. Sorry I just made it a rule for you.

I'm not going to get in an argument about this. There are plenty of people on here that have been running chips way past the normal life expectancy of the turbos without any problems.
Your argument is purely speculative, no matter how logical or self-evident it appears to be. As I said, I tend to agree that it follows that working a turbo harder causes it to fail sooner but there is no guarantee that this will be the case for every one that chips their car.

There is a high correlation, I know that it is statistically significant. Driving habits reign supreme, as always. I've you WOT stock constantly you'll fail a turbo, if you WOT a chipped s4 constantly you'll fail it sooner.
