Why on earth would they knowingly use an APR chip meant for the tip on a 6 speed????

Default i’ll tell you why...

we were planning on also using a tip car but it didn’t work properly on the dyno. They figured since we had it, put that one in AS WELL AS the 6-speed box. The ECU should work EXACTLY the same except for the transmission fault codes for the purposes of testing.

We had to collect boxes from people who had bought them because when word of this test got out...we suddenly heard about cars going into shops and race gas and BS where we believed some people were trying to send a ringer.

We tested as many boxes as we could. The writing of the site is a bit squirrelly but the dyno plots are the dyno plots.

Maybe you didn't notice, but this thread is over 10 years old. Stuff doesn't stay on the internet forever. :-)
