I currently daily an B5 S4 auto Stg.1 APR tune and gutted pre-cats out of the piggies. I recently purchased an 03 a6 with the 2.7t to pull the motor and build for 600+hp for my S4.

I see that this A6 has the BEL engine with the new style coils. My question for you guys is should I pursue converting the early style coil to the later style? I have the valve covers from the BEL which means I shouldn't have to purchase the "conversion kit". There are numerous write ups on the wiring to convert it, I have 6+ years experience as an MECP certified mobile electronics technician so wiring does not scare me.

Also I would purchase and use new coils from the newer TSFI engines.

Looks like I could simply switch over the valve covers, do a bit of wiring and I could have this converted in a matter of hours.

Also considering ordering a few of those v8 plastic converters for like 5 bucks each. Then with some wiring it wouldn't take more than an hour to do the conversion... or I could always paint and swap valve covers...will give me another opportunity to get these small leaks under control!
