BOV's...a little tip

As Stealth4 says-I think he means this one. You're going to order two of them tomorrow, aren't you?

this is what i've been saying all along...
i've gone through many turbo cars and they all had a bov, however the only turbo car i havn't put one on is the audi. for two reasons, first the entire aw crew telling me that they'll make the car run rich and horrible, secondly i'm not looking for super performance out of my audi it's a daily driver and i could do w/o the noise and unwanted attention. i jumped off the "is a bov good for my car" debate a long time ago, simply because the majority of the board (flame suit on) are sheep. those who were curious eneough and actually got off their *** to try the bov's and asked for my help i did help, and i also recommended the turboXS stuff. however that was when my friend was a turboXS distributor.
turboXS makes very good products, but now that my friend's not really working with them as much i would also look into the GReddy TypeR (i've ran the typeS for years)and HKS racing bov for your application. I'm running the HKS racing with a turbonetics external wastegate (soon to be tial) on my t3/t4 mr2 turbo. works pretty well and keep the turbo spooled.
some other options are turbosmart and even forge.

You are the man.
Don, you are the voice of reason. Thank you for finally posting something other than the mindless BOV fanboi rhetoric and cutting through the BS. About time we had a REAL technical discussion of BOVs vs BPVs.
And for those of you fanbois out there who are buying the old BOV rhetoric, pay CLOSE attention to what Don just said regarding valve spring tension and mechanical knowhow. Don't get a BOV just because your friends think it sounds cool.

iirc they're about $150 a piece...
you just plug up the return hose, mount the valves on and add washers till your car won't stall at idle. the more washers you add the stiffer the spring and the "crisper" the sound.
i prefer the greddy typeS though. they cost more, but you tune them simply with a hex screw rather then opening the valve and dumping in washers every time. saves time and i think they look better if you don't mine the anodized purple.
