I am looking to swap the interior lighting in the center console of my 2001.5 S4 to blue to match various components of an aftermarket audio system that are blue. Is there a VW climate control system that will work? Perhaps a Passat unit from the same era? The shape of the climate control is of no concern to me, I only want it to be able to plug in and work.

My folks have a 2000 b5 platform Passat and it has the same red based lighting for the console buttons and so on. You probably will have to disassemble the units and replace the bulbs.
