Canada: no xenon, told by rep something to do with cooling system ? and winter options are N/C

I guess the US cars don't have a cooling system then....
Me thinks the reps are full of ****.
There are only two possibilities in my humble opinion:
No Xenons for anyone, or Canada has nixed them under some silly traffic and highway safety act having to do with DRLs. Can't see why really. Plenty of A6, 3.2TL, BMW5/7 and MB are driving with xenons. Wonder what gives.
I would not mind so much if reps just told us that Audi is having problems with Xenons in Canada due to new gov't regulations rather than some lame cooling requirement excuse.
I better quit. I'm getting all worked up about this - perhaps for no reason at this point. I'm hoping that Audi will still come through....

On Monday, at the press intro, they said YES to Xenon for Canada. I have codes, but ...
they are on a moving truck headed to CT. Hope to get moved in on Friday, so I can post them. BUT, Matt should have these order codes too... they are in the press materials we got in Monterey.

I thought they mentioned Xenons for Canada too...
but the media info says no. I need to find a tape player so I can listen to the audio tape of the press conference (tapes were available in hopitality on Monday night). I'll see if they did mention anything at the press conference.

Doesn't make sense...
Canada doesn't have a particularily different climate than some states or European countries, so there's no reason why we'd need a different cooling system..
Xenon's are supposed to be optional on the regular '00 A4, so why not STD or even an option on the S4?
Dealer told me heated seats are N/C, but ski bag is still an option.
As far as I'm concernced, if it comes with the regular A4 front and no Xenons, then I'll pass mine up. May as well build up a 1.8T..
