Default Compare to new 2014 S4

I love my 2001 S4. It has 130k miles with the original clutch, turbos, oxy sensors and cats. I have gotten some expensive codes on the computer: Oxy sensors, exh gas temp sensors, cats. The cost of repairs seems high compared to the value of the car and the fact that other expensive stuff is likely to come up soon.

So, I took a 2014 S4 for a drive. I was surprised and disappointed! I expected to love it and feel as if I HAVE to own one. But no, it appears to have lost all the "sport" from sport sedan! I like the nimble feel of the '01 and the feedback from the steering and suspension. On the new one I felt totally isolated. Power was fine, but the driving experience was not.

Do others find the same thing? Maybe I was doing something wrong? The settings were on "dynamic" but it was NOT a dynamic experience.

I can't believe I am saying this: the new BMW 328i XDrive was better!!!! It was more like my '01 S4 than the new S4!??? Is that possible?

Well, when I drove the new S4, it feltvasvif I had been injected with novocaine! Not nearly enough feedback from the steering, and not what I would like from the suspension either.

Weird, I have a 2000 S4 with 240,000 miles on it and I love it. It drives very "personal" like.
Yesterday i drove a 2014 S4 with tiptronic. I, like you lost the feel of driving a sports car.

My 2000 is a manual. Think thats what i am going with. Plus it's $1,400 cheaper.
