S4 PROS; It's an "S" model, sportier, lighter, I have a JL Stealthbox. CONS; Smaller
A6 PROS; Tunable engine, more luxury, spring and shock upgrade should bring it to almost equal S4 handling. CONS; less sporty image, less available aftermarket parts.
Opinions needed!

The S4 will always out handle the A6 due to the weight advantage.
S4 is just as tuneable as the A6 2.7T. S4 has the image. My guess is that it will retain its value over time.
A6 has heated rear seats - important to my kid.
Just my opinion. I'd buy the S4 in hearbeat if I didn't have a college education to pay for on my 11 year old daughter.

Confused???
Can someone please explain to me why AoA put the S4 engine in the A6? Am I the only one who is upset by this. Think about it, the S series is intended to represent the pinnacle of Audi technology and performance. My 2000 S4 is not even at the port and already the BI- Turbo engine's potency seems diluted by it's representation in the A6. Please don't get the wrong impression, I believe the 2.7T A6 will be one Hell of a car, but couldn't they have put a light-pressure version of the BI-Turbo in this car, something @ 230 HP? My reasoning is justifiable, like most everyone on this message board I have waited over year for the debut of the S4, and know finally when it's within sight Audi offers another vehicle with almost identical performance. What gives????

I have some thoughts..
I am considering moving to the A6 also. Same damn engine, except that I suspect the S4 performance numbers are diluted, according to the car mags, which will put the A6 slower than it actually appears when compared to S4. However, the A6 is quite a bit larger, and I think it looks fantastic. Much nicer interior than A4, even though I like my A4. A6 with 6-speed=fun, fast, big and probably a little sloppy in corners. I am not sure what to do. Would like to test drive A6 biturbo. Of course, it would also be nice to test the S4.
