Has anyone O-ringed their block? if so, what gasket did you use? and is it a good idea?

im thinking its a good idea if i want to be boosting 28psi.

ive seen a lot of BMW turbo builds doing this and they're running much less boost ... necessary or overkill?

Default No, o-ringed. Its the act of using a SS o-ring to aid in sealing on high boost or high CR engines.

In laymens terms... A groove is machined into the circumference of each cylinder and then a stainless steel wire that fits in the groove is laid in place, sticking up above the deck of the block a very small amount.

With Jared. Overkill. 35psi maybe, but you'd likely float the heads at that pressure on our cars.
