Does anyone know when S4 was released

When was S4 released in these countries ?

-Germany
-UK
-USA

In Japan, S4 was released at 99/7.

I got a call today from a local dealer. He said they would be arriving very shortly. I asked him if that meant they were released from the port today, and he said yes.

It was released in Germany 9/97 at the Frankfurt Int'l Auto Show. Just like the RS4 Next Week!

There was a long delay after Frankfurt 97 until S4s were delivered

due to the initial manifold problems. First cars were delivered around 07/98.
