Does the C5 and B5 use the same flywheel?
It was to my understanding they did.
Sal has my car right now. The engine is out. I bought a used LWFW same kind VAST uses. He told me the FW is hitting the starter. He is calling VAST later but I wanted to see if I could find anything out here.
Thanks

"hitting the starter" ?!?1 sounds like they screwed up the install !!!!
there is dowel sleeve on the lower starter/trans hole that aligns the started correctly , someone helped me at one point and tightened that LONG screw without aligning the starter ON the dowel sleeve (screw goes through it) and pushed it in the trans hole.. when i started the car first @ ASP it was binding badly making noise and it was realigned there by Frank and Mark by eye (PITA).
i fixed later on when my clutched failed and i pulled the trans (pushed the dowel sleeve back out so the starter rests on it aligned properly

yes test fit. Not sure. I figured I would see if they use the same FW and go from there. The faster
I help solve the problem ( and fix with different FW if needed) the faster I get my car back
I'll know more today b/c he called me last night but I am trying to figure some 411 on my own.

Old version LWFW? Search grasshopper
Seems this was an issue with an old version of the Fidanza.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1713194.phtml

Hmm I did see that but its not a Fidanza its a Aasco flywheel. I'm pretty sure.
I'll keep on looking. thanks.
Mine has 20 bolt holes I think the old one has 15 or something.
