Driver and passenger airbag delete detailed...
#15
Great write up - i will not be removing my seats but have the same problem - airbag light. I have been told the fault code is "side airbag igniter. Passenger side". Can someone please post some step-by-step instructions on how to get to the connection/wires and any indication on which ones are the most important or likely to be loose and cause the light to come on? Thanks !!!

Would wire color code differ between RHD and LHD?
"If anyone is looking closely, he'll notice that the harness wires are green/white in the first and last harness/resistor pic's and blue/white in the pictures with my beautifully manicured, scar-free fingers. The green/white was the driver's side, blue/white the passenger's . . ."
Would green/white be driver's side (right side in UK/OZ), or driver's left, depending on the market?

S4 seats
I know this is old but I thought I would take a chance, I have S4 seats going into my 96 A4. I just wanted to clarify that instead of sweating the air bag connections (my 96 did not have air bag seats) do I even need to run the wires for the air bags at all, and if so, can I just use a resistor? Thanks.
