Default ESP ABS light came on....

while i was stopped. turned the car off and back on and the lights were gone. drove about 20 miles or so and then BEEP!!!! and the brake pad warning indicator came on. do i just need knew pads or is it a speed sensor or something else.

vag it could be an abs module?

Check brake fluid. If it's not low, then it's likely the ABS module. Did it beep 3 times?

Default nope, no beeping. the beep did sound when the low brake pad warning sign came on. i went ......

and looked at my pads, the rear were fine, the fronts werent. they are real close to the caliper, so is it possible the wire sensor caused the initial abs light and ESP light, or are they not connected and its just an evil coincidence audi planned against me and my module is gonna die? i really hope it isnt the module. that thing is pretty expensive!!!

so, just a glitch maybe? I'm thinking that is was maybe pad sensor related. i ordered pbr ceramics..

Good choice on pads. Not a glitch. It was telling you that your brake pads are low.

hmmmmm, well, it beeped when the pad sensor warning came on. and everytime i get low fuel

It's supposed to beep at those times.
