Default Front Aluminum uprights in the 00 S4

Does anyone know why they only offered them in the 00 S4? Any problems with long term reliability?

Because the 2000 was the year they wanted to make the car really really sweet.

Default Not only just 00, but only early 00 as I understand. I guess they are fairly rare.

Got 120k or so on mine with no problems. Just did all new bushings/rods and such a little while back, but that's normal wear and tear.

Wow, will those meats fit under the stock fenders, or do you need the wider euros??

Default Didn't know that. Is that because they allow for less backspacing?

I know on my 275's they barely clear, but the rolling diameter is taller and looking I think a smaller tire could go further inboard.
The 275/35-18 is over 1/2" or 2.4% taller from stock. They won't fit in the spare tire well. :-(

(picture is of the rear, but the clearance layout is similar)

Default I'll keep my fingers crossed on both hands, and try not to do anything too stupid with the car...

My wife already backed the van into my 4KQ...just a few months ago. Luckily the Dent Wizard was able to take the huge dent out of the door panel at minimal cost.
