You think a cop could tell your S4 from a regular A4???.

Default I'll bet there are cops reading this list right now! And even if they aren't...

It doesn't quite matter if he knows what an S4 is - if he knows what an A4 is, and thinks I've had one modified, that's even worse.

It's like this - if you take a ford escort, and lower it & put sideskirts and an air dam on it, you'll attract attention, and be noticed. You'll look like the kind of person who gets into trouble.

A non-enthusiast can't tell *what* the difference is between an A4 and an S4, but they still go "hmmm..." when they see an S4. I find that the biggest difference between A4s and S4s visually is the extra use of body color instead of black. As a result I find that darker S4s look more like A4s than lighter ones. I thought about getting black just for this reason. I went with Santorin b/c it's less "flashy" than black, and hopefully dark enough that they extra use of body color won't stick out. (also b/c I like it 8-)

It doesn't matter *why* a cop notices you. If he sees you twice and goes "hmmm..." then you're marked. The ultimate in stealth is to be able to blow through the speed trap 1mph below the cops "soft limit" *every day* and never have him look at you and see a pattern. If he sees 60 current model Audis every day, in ho-hum colors, you're golden. If one of those just somehow looks aggressive, or "slick" to him, then over time, *that* will be the one he picks to snag at 77 instead of 79.
