Got my brothers car back from KO4 and clutch swap, MTM stage 1 software, couple questions.....

If he knows how to HB properly. I would dare say that 80% of us here have no real clue to how ...
to HB a car safely and properly. As an average consumer, the cheapest Bosch MotorSport 5 bar I can find is ~$175. Unless you are referring to a crushed 4 bar, which you and I both know that they are hardly the same thing.
Please keep in mind that while tuning may be elementry to you, but to most of us here, we know just enough to be dangerous.

LOL, you're right. But if he feels like he might be dangerous with....
the tuning and tweaking he's doing to his car, he can always log his car and ask the rest of us what to do
A crushed 4bar is all that you need to be safe while running K04's on K03 code. We're not looking for the greatest consistency or flow here, just a little extra fuel pressure for safety's sake.

While I think AW is a great source of information, but that's all it is.
IMO, no one can fix or diagnose a car for you from a remote location. Knowledgable people like you can give inputs and ideas to what to look for and how to trouble shot. But the reality is, not only the helpful individuals like you need to know what to do, but more importantly, the car owner themself needs to be able to present the correct information and data first in order for you to help. Anyway, I feel local support is most important, if it is not available, it is better, even know it may cost more initially, to go with an OTS kit.

No arguments there....I just simply said that you CAN run an MBC and FPR....
There are a host of things that can be done to these cars, whether or not an individual feels that they are up to the task is their call.
I will say, though, that it is amazing how enabling a forum like this is to the person learning about their car. Post a few logs of the tune, and we can most often tell you if some lemmitweaks are needed, or if there is something significant in the logs, it's even possible to see a hardware change that's needed.
The advent of OBDII and logging tools put diagnosis and tuning light years ahead of what it used to be with the old CIS systems...
