Got quoted at $3150 for stage 3 install...from awe, sound fair?
i also wanted to do the timing belt while it was in there. i thought that since they had to take so much apart to do the stage 3 install that they wouldn't charge labor for the timing belt install.
does anyone remember seeing a post like that?

if they charge you a little for the TB don't assume you're getting hosed. You can do the entire turbo install without so much as removing the TB covers. Also, I assume the 3150 is for labor only? That's a pretty fair price IMO.

yeah another $1150 on top of the $3150..
i swear i remember reading that they would only charge like $400 for doing the tb if someone went stage 3 since they had everything apart.
i just can't find the post on here...
if anyone can help me out i'd appreciate it.

Just for the insult of the TB price, I'd go somewhere else.
For $3150, I'd buy four jackstands and a jack. Probably looking at 40 - 60hrs to do it all the right way, but its all bolt on stuff.
Do it yourself and start a thread, there's plenty of us around here to help you throught it.

That's way high! Just go elsewhere if you don't want to do it yourself.
STaSIS (which isn't a bad shop) did my Stg3 labor for closer to 2K. Plus they did a new clutch, timing belt, some maintenance items, and a bunch of other goodies.

Tell them you asked about the price and point them to this thread. Maybe they'll make a better offer. TB should not be that much with the engine already out, that price is an outrage, honestly.
