Default If ya don't know, this is childs play to him ;-) He fixed his car himself 2 years ago

after a pretty bad accident ;-) I'd have to say he knows the S4 pretty well, at least hes not paying ridiculous amounts of $$ in labor - maybe some bloody hands instead :-P

Default Its good to see some more of your posts

I remember when your poor imola get into an accident and you were thinking about rebuilding it yourself.. Watching your updates on the cars progress was awesome.. Really looking forward to the updates on this repair.. So are you planning to upgrade any of the internals??? The 964 Cup Car came with steel syncros (audi gives us?).. Best of luck

Default Yes, this is a known problem with the first months of 2000 S4s

New part number on the selector ring/hub set, now. Also, the old ring slides on the new hub without binding, so they increased clearance for any mushrooming, too.

Default Yep, that was awesome.. I fun to watch the progress of that project.. :)

I wish I could learn enough about my car so that I can do things like this.. Maybe Jim wants to start a school..

Default Yes, and that's not my living room.

Haven't rebuilt anything in the living room since I did my Type 3 VW engine in the mid 70s.

Default What's your build date? Mine is 10/99 and I'm wondering if I might expect this to hit me sooner or

later.
