Default Installed STaSIS 332 kit today, rotors have FLAT SPOTS!

Ok, I got my brakes installed finally... the shop called that there's a problem with the rotors and both have flat spots on them... meaning there's a spot that the rotor is NOT round no more, and it's almost like it's cut in a flat line! I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE!

So, what this does, is that (specailly when you brake hard), whenever it goes over the flat spot it makes a noise, specially when it heats up and expands. It actually feels very scary and sounds horrible, feels like the rotor is NOT balanced!

Shop called STaSIS and they said it's ok, and when the pads bed-in it will be ok... so far the problem is still there (50 miles drive). I just expected a lot more from STaSIS and an expensive kit.

Has anyone else noticed such flat spots on their STaSIS rotors? I have never seen em on any regular rotor, they're always perfectly round.

Default yes its from the casting

i doubt what you are feeling is that flat spot; more likely you have pad deposits from incorrectly bedded pads.

Default Are you sure your pads are bedded in correctly? Do 8-10 60MPH slow downs to 10MPH and repeat

braking hard

Default hmmm, pads are new, and were bedded, whenever it goes over that spot it makes the noise

it's clear-cut where the noise is coming from.. I guess I drive it some more to see what happens. Maybe I got a damaged rotor or something or a bad batch?!

Also make sure the pad is not sticking out and covers the whole rotor and not the outside of it

Well that's your problem, take a picture and post it here. Most likely faulty install or wrong pads
