Are michelin pilot sport PS2s worth the money for a night/weekend driver?

imo, no...
I was contemplating getting PS2's also and I only use my car on wknds too. Knowing I would be a little harder on the tires than a daily driver, it was hard to justify to beat on such a high-end tire.
I ended up going with a very inexpensive tire, the Sumitomo HTR-Z2, and I have been totally happy with the result. Now I'm not worried about not getting full yield out of the tire because even if it doesn't last me as long, I can go out and buy 2 sets of tires and still pay less than what I would've for the PS2's. Again, this is just my opinion, but I'm happy with the value of my setup and will continue to run these tires in the future.
