I took out my car for the first time in about a week and a half and what do you know, as soon as I get on the road I hear a clunk in the suspnsion. It sounds like a hollow clunk coming from what feels to be the passenger side. It doesn't even take a big bump to rattle either, seems that everytime I go over any imperfection in the road.

Any ideas? I know its probably either CA's, TRE's, or wheel bearings but I want to get a feel for which one of those it is before I start spending money replacing things that don't need replacing.

sounds like it could be a control arm

Would wiggling the wheel confirm this?

my mechanic used to jack up the car and use a pry bar to see if there was any play in the bushings.

Pull off the wheel and check the bushings

Try yanking on the sway bar with the suspension loaded.
