to "fix" my rubbing issues with 8.5 inch wheels by raising my coils to a more reasonable level. They were previously "dumped" and as such we effictively worse then the stock suspension in terms of lateral grip and predictability, and at the current level have achived a trade off of performance increase while at the same time limiting the decrease you get by changing the geometry. So while there is still the possibility that my tires will rub, it now requires a much larger (and therefore largely improbable without chassis damage) event to cause the rubbing

I don't think you would have any rubbing issues. I live in western MI and we have some of the worst roads in the country!!! and I have no rubbing issues even if cornering hard at an incline or weird angle as you explained. The GTs are great, the ride is harsh at first, but mine have finally settled and the ride has become better (or Im just getting use to it more). So I would be surprised if you had rubbing issues unless you had that bitch bagged!! If needed I could post some pics of my ride height
