New HID Intermittent Start
#21
See the pic,
The passenger side install is pretty lame but its winter up here and when it warms up I will try to install it in a better place, but the space is rare on this side.
The drivers side is really easy, there is a nice space under the cover .

Well, I got both Retro ballasts in and must say -- good call Roger. They switch on at idle no problem and the radio interference is greatly reduced after their warmed up.
Still trying to find a permanent place to mount them as well, but shouldn't be too bad. I'm half tempted to cut out the headlight opening a little more, but I'll wait to see how they do for a few months.

I have the same intermittent one side start problem during DRL to full lights
It usually the passenger side. I am thinking of turning off my DRL for the head lamps so that they only come on when I manually turn the headlights on. This might solve this intermittent on off on issue with the passenger side. I shall try this and report back. This is happening with factory HIDs that were put into a Canadian S4 that had halogen.
