New Member and B5 S4 member
I'm new to the forums and relatively new to life so I'd like to introduce myself.
I'm 16 years old and just purchased a 2001 Santoren Blue B5 S4. I came across the car when me and my dad were driving to the shop and I saw the car outside, so I asked the shop owner for the info of the guy that owned the car. The car was in pretty decent shape, has some minor scuffs and scratches besides the collision damage on the passenger side front fender. I worked summers previous so I had some money saved up, and purchased the car for 5k. After having the car in my possession for a few days, I couldn't stand the fender damage, so I found a used fender for $75, and did the fender swap myself in the drive way, then removed the headlights and clear cornered them. The car is a manual, stage 2, with 170k miles. I learned how to drive a manual on an abandoned airstrip when I was 12. At the moment the car hasn't been driven because I am saving up the money to register and insure the car, but I still wash it every 3 days just because I'm proud of the car.

That's a good looking car! And next to that C5 RS6 they both look so hot! Lucky you've found the front fender which color matches the color of your car.
The B5 S4 is a great car but it can be a b*tch if you drive it and treat it like a b*tch so drive it gracefully and maintain it well.

Congrats! You will enjoy the car especially when you hang out in the 3K RPM range and decide to punch it! Both turbos should already be spooled up (just before 2k is when that begins) as I recall! Be careful though, a speeding ticket often is an officer's method for you to learn your lesson! I bought her new in 2000 but these pictures were well into 100K miles with my winter tires...

must have as an owner is make your own boost leak tester! it is a must have! and hope you have some money saved up if those turbos blow, not trying to be harsh but i just got mine a couple months ago 149k stage 2, and my turbo blew this summer so i bought frankenturbos and installed them with a buddy much cheaper. so keep spare cash and find someone local that can help you work on it, don't go to a shop because it will cost you an arm and a leg and they s4 engine is very complex and some local shops its at the top of their knowhow. Good luck and im digging the wheel color.
