so this is my first post because i am a new first time owner of a 2000 s4 auto with 117k miles

ive owned the car for 3 days and i have already run into issues

the first day the CEL light came on because of a the secondary air pump. from my understanding is that this piece is unnecessary emissions crap and that it can be by passed with a chip.

***my question is the guy i got it from said that i could have him reflash the ECU and get a little more power out of the motor and by pass the Secondary air pump at the same time is this possible

also i have a tailshaft (aka output) flange seal leak which has been leaving a spot in my drive way and every where i stop i know i need to adress this seal soon with in the next 7 days

**is it safe to drive it while its leaking or am i going to run my tranny and diff dry

hi I am greg,i have an 01 s4 with 101k I think it has a mild tune in the ecu???just got the car and don't have much free time..and anyway I am looking for someone in my area who has b5 experience. who would be interested in doing some mods/service work on my car...look the car over for any potential issues...it runs and drives fine....thinking possibly k04's,head r&r..I wanna port them,exhaust, some body work,swapping seats mirrors etc...i pay cash,or I could swap work with someone as I port heads, do valve jobs, and build engines...I live in 60098....if you are local and seriously interested,and not ridiculously greedy.... feel free to call me at 815 six 90 one 234

I suggest you contact CPT (Chicago Performance and Tuning) in Melrose IL. They've been involved with the B5 S4 for quite a while and could hook you up with whatever you want to do.
