when the turbos get damaged they make just noise or they you loose power too?

Default That all depends..

Some guys on here have been running whiny turbos for serveral K miles before they finally totally blow up. Most likely, if you start getting a noisey turbo you are going to loose some boost and boost = power. Lot of other peeps turbos blow all at once with little to no warning. It really is a crap shoot with this tiny K03's.

I am all for your plan of running your stock turbos until they blow then going to K04's. You will be happy as hell just getting a chip in there with your stock turbos for a little while at LEAST. It truely is a world of difference.
