Oh I know... That would have been a huge bummer spending a bunch of money on that engine and then it blows up...

While my motor is out I've Done a lot of things on top of reviving my oil system, like I replaced the upper oil pan and gasket due to a some really messed up threadings on my old pan, and I wanted to make sure my oil leak I've had wasnt coming from the gasket. Anyways I still think the leak was from the front crank seal. But I have replaced it about 3 times now and idk why it would keep leaking. I know there is a possibility I could have scratched the flange or crankshaft but how would I fix that without replacing the crankshaft or flange?
Thanks again Guys

A qualified machine shop could probably repair a scratched crank if the damage is not to deep or extensive. You might need to order a new flange though (dealership, maybe ECS)

It's really rare for that front crank seal to leak though, so you should pin the cause of the leak down before you tear down the engine to get the crank re-worked.
