Power Window "clutch"? or "torque sensor"? problem. Help please.
So I replaced the broken driver's side window regulator guide and put everything back together taking care to assemble the frame back to my alignment marks.
Now when I put the window up, it backs about 1/3 down everytime after reaching the top.
At first I thought the new guide was binding or the door frame was out of alignment so I took the door panel back off, rechecked the guide and alignment. No change.
Now, leaving the frame out and trying the window, same problem, keeps backing down.
Anyone had this problem and fixed it? It's like a torque sensor/clutch is tripping. The window appears to go up easily...no squeaks/squeals/obvious rubbing.

Ok think I fixed it. Interesting observation:
So I notice in all my iterations, that with small jogs in travel (to not activate the 'auto-up' feature) it would stay at the top. Hmmm.
So I had a thought: maybe it needs to recalibrate the top location? I held the up button for a few seconds after it reached the full up travel, similar to when you have to reset the auto-up feature after a battery disconnect. That seemed to do the trick.
Glad I wasted 2 hours trying to fine tune the alignment plus another disassembly.
