Default Quaife vs Torsen?

What is the theory behind the Quaife Differential? Does it work in a different way than the Torsen? I am pretty familiar with the Torsen, I've studied the design papers, and have taken the Torsen out of my defunct 88q tranny. Even with 3 torsens, if you remove ALL backload from one wheel, that wheel will spin, and the rest will not.

Default Spinning wheels...

Yup. That's why Audi has implemented EDL on the Quattro IV system used on the A4/6 (8?). On my old S4, I have 2 torsens (center and rear) with a manual lock for the rear for excatly those situations. Or you can just lightly ride the brake.
