Default question about: error code: 17987 (P1597)

I know this was discussed a while back but I am uncertain about what exectly the conclusions were. I did throttle adap with the tool then after about 5 runs I get this error code. IS this bad. I know it has something to do with the boost not matching target or something. The car is NOT going into linp mode or anything and the boost pressure is staying under .75 bar.

And also:
I have just stock chip right now

Could this me a mechanical problem
I have a dealer appointment in a week is there anything they can check out?

Thanks everyone in advance

Default Throttle Adapt. Error

Try this procedure:

1. Turn ignition to ON position (engine not running).
2. Erase fault codes using tool.
3. Check to see if fault codes are erased.
4. Go to data group 60, block 4. You will see either ADP OK or 'error'. If ADP OK then go to (6).
5. If 'error' then press 'Basic Settings'. You will see block 4 toggle to ADP Running (or something similar) followed by either ADP OK or 'error'. If 'error' again then recheck fault codes and erase then try again.
6. At this point you should have no fault codes and throttle body adaptation is OK.

If you consistently receive throttle body DTC's (such as P1597) after resetting then you could have a bad throttle body or other problem. We have seen this several times on S4's.

BTW, you can't do throttle body adaptation if the engine is too hot.

Hi there, thank you very much for the explanation posted.
I have done all that has been suggested, but it still do not rev when pressing the accelerator. Any other suggestion?
