Default RE: Suspension Problem w/ Pic...Anything look suspect?

I keep getting a hollow/thud sounds every time I go over an imperfection in the road. I'm thinking either upper CA's or TRE, but I wanted to get any opinion from you guys before I start spending money replacing parts.

Default control arms are shot as well as your tire rod ends. 500 bucks will get you a kit with *edit*

all the arms and outer tire rods. by the looks of it, it'll be a hell of a job with all that corrosion you have.

your TRE boot isn't shot, but the rod doesn't look pretty and you'll want to replace it anyways once you do your upper CA's.

you can see a rip in the bushing on the control arm in the background.

Default Ok, so I might as well just do both driver and passenger side

I did the coilovers about a month or two ago so I'm pretty familiar with the mechanics of the suspension. Would you recommend trying it myself with the corrosion though?

Default if you are on jack stands, it'll be tough even for two people. you kind of need a third

hand in some places. i would strongly recommend just buying the kit and doing everything at once so you don't have to deal with it again, plus you'll need an alignment afterwards. it's a bitch, but you'll save a lot by DIY. i've gotten quotes from 600-1200 just for labor.

background bolt of the upper control arm.....look to its 4 o'clock position and you'll see a rip.
