Recent horrors with my S4 - need help plz

..so what do you think - should I start with replacing the post-cat O2 sensor?
...or does it look like cat is caput? How can i check if cat is good\bad?
FYI - I do not feel any loss of power, or there's no strange noises, etc. Only thing is the idle is a bit up & down when the car is cold, but then get's stable after a minute or 2 of warmin' up

You wouldn't have any loss of power with a bad cat (unless it is clogged, which it is not) but you will probably be getting worse gas milage. The idling up and down on warm up is normal.
Did you get any codes about the o2 sensors? Like O2 short to ground or anything like that?
If the code says its the cat and not the 02 sensors then it likely that cat that is bad.

One more quick question - so the after-market exhaust upgrades, like, for example AWE - will they fin the Tiptronic S4? their websites show the 6-speed - should fit the Tip as well, correct?

Found this Audi bulletin - it is for Allroad Quattro - but with the same 2.7T engine: DTC P0421 or P0431 Stored in DTC Memory:
