Repaired ignition control module/Power out stage (N122 & N192)
SO cylinder 4 has been misfiring (over 300+ misfires a minute) at idle & cruising speeds for a few days now. Did the whole spark plug/coilpack swap to no avail. Swapped the ICM and the misfires move over to the other bank. I rarely go on this site anymore but hopefully this will help someone in the future. I know it would have helped me.
I remember people saying back in the day that a faulty ICM will cause the bank it controls to all misfire whether it be Cylinders 1,2,3 or 4,5,6. This is not true at all. All cylinders fired fine except for cylinder 4 which was not firing at all. So i went ahead and ordered a new module. Since the part wouldn't come in until next week, I decided to disect the ICM and see if it was just a broken connection that could be soldered. Once open, sure enough, one of the leads had broken off. Long story short, I soldered the wire, checked for continuity, closed the cover, re-installed the ICM, started the car and everything was back to normal. This should be a temporary fix until the new module comes in, although, it should be fine as long as the solder job holds up. (I suck at soldering)
Anyway, hope this helps someone in the future...anyway, here were my fault codes:
3 Faults Found:
16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0300 - 35-00 - -
16688 - Cylinder 4 Misfire Detected
P0304 - 35-00 - -
16534 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B2 S1: Malfunction in Circuit
P0150 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Re: Repaired ignition control module/Power out stage (N122 & N192)
Excuse me if I'm being presumptuous here---
be sure to apply a flim of heat transfer grease under the module before installation....
