Default Replacing Fuel Pump with Full Tank of Gas

So my fuel pump died on me exactly after I filled my tank up, at the gas pump in fact. Will replacing the fuel pump with a full tank be an issue? I can always attempt to siphon some of the gas out if necessary.

Nope. Just did mine this weekend with a full tank as well. Just makes your hand pretty dry.

Dry and cold if you are in a state like Michigan. I have replaced fuel pumps both ways and now I syphon out the fuel into several 5 gallon containers.

My main concern was getting fuel all over the inside of my car. I'm not concerned about it getting on my hands. I've already attempted to siphon some out and have only gotten about 5 gallons. I think I need a longer tube. As long as fuel won't be squirting out of the connections to the pump then I won't worry about it.

I just wiped the metal down with windex after I was done. It aired out in a day or so..
