Rotors and Pads!!
Just wondering whats a good brake setup for a daily driver/weekend warrior! I dont plan on going crazy on the weekends, maybe a little autocrossing. I was thinking of getting Zimmermanns cross drilled but i havent deceided. any help is appreciated.

Cross drilling or slotting a run of the mill rotor is for looks only, so if that's not what you're shooting for then save your money. Slotted rotors will help direct brake dust off of the rotor, but that's about it. Cross drilling doesn't really serve a purpose unless you engage in some serious and continuous braking, and it actually increases the likelihood of warping the rotors - it's only useful for rallysport and serious track cars, i.e. cars that get new rotors more often than most of us fill up our tank.
My advice: stick to a regular rotor. The Zimmermans are fine. The best way to improve braking performance is to get a better pad. Get a middle of the road kind material for a daily that will see some more spirited driving. Search ECS-tuning, they have a wide selection with good description of the pad application.

Yea i think im just going to get a pair of plain zimmermanns for the front since i just replaced the rears with OEM's 6 months ago. The pads are just as new as the rear rotors, so im not sure if i should just replace all the pads or just keep the ones i have now since they still have alot of bit on them??
