RS4 Suspension on S4... impressions?
Who's got the RS4 suspension installed on their S4?
- What's the overall impression about it?
- How much lower than S4?
- How's the ride quality vs. stock?
- What's the perfomance gain?
- How does it compare to MTM or Stasis?
I've heard since it was designed for RS4 (avant) the shock valving and spring rates are not great for sedan S4, is that true?
Thnx

such as?
I went on 3 different suspensions on my MK4 and NONE provided a good balance between ride and performance.
I just do not know of a company that has done as much engineering into building a suspension as a car company.
MTM was a bit of an exception as they designed a supension for their races (and maybe ABT as well)... but in general most others just match up higher spring rates with shocks with higher rebound/compression valving and that's it.
This is based on my experience in VW 1.8T scene though...
Regardless, anyone with RS4 suspension, what r ur impressions?

Well, no matter what suspension you have in a MkIV car, it'll still be crap
you'd have to yank out the entire rear suspension and redesign it to make that car work.
There are several good aftermarket suspension offerings for the S4 - basically depends on your use and price flexibility.
