My dealer sales rep says car comes in this week. He and others spent Thursday on a track in the PA hills putting S4, A6 2.7T, and A6 V8 through paces. He had a far-away look in his eyes, a glint, if you will. There are those who have been to the promised land, and those who must be contented with tales.

I know of someone from Texas going to the California event (Oscar)...my sales guy from NorCal is going ....and Jon Shafer from SoCal is also going (if I remember correctly). Their event is at Buttonwillow or Willow Springs Raceway somewhere in the boonies above Bakersfield CA just off I5. Their event is also scheduled for about Sept 20-23, or thereabouts.

He said the S4 is unbelievable. He was at Nazareth. He said the S4 was sooooo smooth. Track was a little wet and the M3's traction control was annoying (too much trottle down). By the time the M3's started trottling back up, the S4 had pulled three carlengths. He said in the M3, you had to really pay attention and always had a feeling the M3 was going to lose it, but with the S4, just point and GO!!! Also he just followed the M3 around and there were too many times when he had to back off.

Was it Fontana? I am getting confused on this one...all I want is them to meet and then release car

Ontario Motor Speedway closed about 15 years ago. It's now a huge shopping center.

I believe the dates are correct, though. I've heard Willow Springs (near Lancaster) or Fontana (the new Penske super speedway) as locations for the event.

If anyone confirms it's at Fontana, please let me know. I work nearby...
