Sorry that's all I can do.

Well alright.. 1. don't run your tank near empty EVERY TIME!, 2. Buy a better fuel pump. 3. sell the s4 and buy a saturn.

Sorry nothing more anyone else can do. That or the shop screwed up by rigging the old pump thinking they got it working again, and charging a **** ton of money saying they replaced it when they didn't even order a new one. just saying...

I know this cuz I tried to repair a buddies S4 fuel pump, it went dead very quickly yet again. Just isn't worth the it. Again only saying, maybe they didn't use the old one, but then again, who the hell really knows! Enjoy...

Good luck

Good luck
Unfortunately, lots of mechanics do this.
Even at some dealerships; though I haven't known an Audi dealership to do this.

yeah i mean who can you trust right?

i just discovered that my mechanic who, up until now I've been very happy with (did my t-belt) overfilled my oil when he did my last oil change (shame on me for supplying him with more than the required amount of oil..right?).

if you want it done right you've got to do it yourself.

I would definitely start putting some money away in your savings for repairs.

Hows the maintenance history on the car?

Big things to start saving for

* Turbos
* Timing belt and water pump
* Control arms/tie rods/sway bar end links
* Wheel bearings.

Some other things to look out for are valve cover gaskets, timing chain tensioners, cam seals, ( depending on year) F hose.

Feel free to send me a PM if you ever have any questions or need pricing on OEM parts.
