Just heard today from my dealer that all orders for the S4 with Tiptronic will be cancelled and reoffered as 6 speed only. All tips going into the A6 2.7.

I know people with the mags who have driven the S4 with the tip. So we know they made them, or some...

I heard that the tiptronic was delayed availability, and all orders currently in the pipe were being changed to manual. The Tiptronic was expected by end of year.

When I put my name (& money) on a list back in early May, I was #35 on the S4 list at that dealer. When I announced that I wanted a Tiptronic instead of a six speed, it moved me up to one of only two people who wanted a Triptronic. At that time, I was told that the automatics would be delayed.

Then my dealer called me and asked how I wanted to order my Tiptronic, as they would be getting four cars in their initial order, 2 six speeds and 2 automatics. I was told to expect delivery in the period of Late September-middle of October and that they should have a demo by August.

Just last week, my dealer called and said that the Tiptronics would indeed be delivered AFTER the initial six speeds and that I should now expect delivery in December. They also said that they wouldn't get a demo until September.

What I am seeing here on the forum confirms what they told me, but I will call them tomorrow and see what they know. If I find out anything, I will post it.
